Thanks for the thread Munibeast the app definitely deserves some love from users as well as the developer. It was my wife trying to get my attention and I was hearing her voice creating the drum solo. Before you start recording your live playback, you should check and adjust the sequencer timing. In the meantime I'd suggest to get to know the app as it is because it is sooo worth it. Voxkit didn't seem to pick up different velocities.

But Ipac don't want to trigger it through Midi, although that could be cool too, but I want to have the option to turn the incoming hit into 1 simple fixed MIDI note per input channel and cc for velocity. If I could use left and right channels of my interface I could connect 2 piezo triggers!

It can be programmed to do almost anything from straight perc to absolutely weird noises. Since Impaktor is fully driven by incoming audio, for the very best possible experience you should work with it in an isolated environment, such as a silent room.

These two generators are then mixed and fed into a multi-mode filter, followed by an output amplifier. Mainly because it was too insensitive, I think. In the popup browser, tap any preset to load it, or tap on the bank button. This makes Impaktor a highly responsive and expressive instrument.
A double-tap on a knob resets it to the ijpaktor setting. As impaktot former live drummer and future customer of something like the Roland HPD 20 this will do until I can save up. I used a cheap built in MIC from a cheap earphones I got at big lots. I can see this being musically useful.
I've spent ages on it and still find iimpaktor scratching my head here and there. PD 9 is basically a contact microphone so once you've plugged it into your iPad via an audio interface t should just work. Use headphones if you want to avoid feedback issues while you're drumming. I do have some major wishes for it, though: The issue with ambient noise isn't too big impaktlr a deal with the internal mic, as Impaktor has a sensitivity setting.
The alternatives are necessary if you're using an iOS device with an audio interface. On iPhone and iPod touch, Impaktor's interface is split into two views: If needed, adjust the master level accordingly. I'm going to impaaktor triggering via the ambient noise from an e drum kit.

Just impakttor it today but I can already see the possibilities with it! The currently active track is highlighted with a yellow outline. If I could have one thing for this app, it would be midi clock sync, to use the internal looper to get layers going, with the quantize.
I plug a contact mic into my iPad and stick it to my Cajon giving me expressive control,over some amazing sounds! To me the beauty of impaktor is you don't need any kind of special input device to trigger it.
MIDI in would be great for using controllers to turn knobs, change instruments etc
